ICAR9 will take place under the overarching theme The Changing Landscape of Adoption. Research and Practice, and will be the stage for presentation, reflection, and discussion on the latest advances in adoption research, as well as how this scientific evidence informs best professional practices in supporting adopters and adoptees.

The ICAR9 programme will feature Invited Keynotes, Symposia, Oral Presentations, and Poster Sessions. The conference aims to serve as a dynamic forum for presenting recent developments in adoption research across a wide range of disciplines.  

We welcome contributions addressing any topic related to adoption, based on diverse methodological approaches and theoretical frameworks.

ICAR9 seeks to amplify the voices of all those involved in adoption, promoting interdisciplinary dialogue and encouraging the exchange of ideas that can inform research, policy, and practice.
