ICAR9 will take place under the overarching theme The Changing Landscape of Adoption. Research and Practice, and will be the stage for presentations, reflections, and discussions on the latest advances in adoption research, as well as how this scientific evidence informs best professional practices in supporting adopters and adoptees.

ICAR9 seeks to amplify the voices of all those involved in adoption, promoting interdisciplinary dialogue and encouraging the exchange of ideas that can inform research, policy, and practice. 

The ICAR9 programme will feature Keynotes, Symposia, Oral Presentations, and Poster Sessions. The conference aims to serve as a dynamic forum for presenting recent developments in adoption research across a wide range of disciplines.  

We welcome contributions addressing any topic related to adoption, based on diverse methodological approaches and theoretical frameworks.
